Wavetshirt - Texas Rangers never underestimate a woman who understands basketball and loves Texas Ra

You’ve also said that Wendy and Lucy was a portrait or landscape of “ugly America,” a Portland of anonymous walls and generic places. Showing Up is in some ways the Texas Rangers never underestimate a woman who understands basketball and loves Texas Rangers signatures 2023 shirt But I will love this antithesis to that: an urban hodgepodge of colorful art, greenery, young people at work and play. Yet there are these moments of ugliness and loneliness that still peek through. How close do you think Lizzy’s world is to the “ugly America” of Wendy and Lucy? Reichardt: Wendy and Lucy was set in a made-up town. It wasn’t supposed to be Portland. That would have been too hip a place for Wendy to fall into. But in reality it’s all very close together. It’s very close. Because that school is pretty funky, and it’s easy to always want to point your camera at it. And the apartments are kind of funky too. The textures are really great. But trying to embrace what’s really there, like the ugly cars. It’s where architecture no longer seems important to people. That also has to be part of the mix. Like, for [the character] Sean’s house, it’s amazing what a horrible pair of blinds will do to a house.Williams (to Reichardt): But that was a pretty grim spot [where you filmed].

Reichardt: Well, we made it more grim. When we scouted there, they had chickens in the Texas Rangers never underestimate a woman who understands basketball and loves Texas Rangers signatures 2023 shirt But I will love this backyard. But as you get closer to the [Portland] airport, the streets get wider, the trees disappear—it’s what happens. You get further out, and you get less, sadly. Lizzy lives in [the nicer area]—that’s why she can’t afford her rent. There were a lot of places that we shot at that we knew, for better and for worse. So now when I go to the lovely bookstore/gallery where I always liked to be anonymous, I get to hear about what went wrong on that day of shooting or where someone parked. When you work close to home, it gets complicated. Michelle, since both Wendy and Lucy and Showing Up were shot in Portland, I couldn’t help but think of some strange connection between Wendy and Lizzy. I can even imagine Lizzy as one of the anonymous cars driving past the Walgreens storefront where Wendy is shipwrecked and looking for Lucy. Do you see links or even friendships between the women you play in Kelly’s films?
