Wavetshirt - The Bay Riot Shirt

Miss Ronnie’s latest projects include the The Bay Riot Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this design and build of a new structure on her property dubbed the “Frame House” and the writing of her debut novel Burnt Milk. Her restless creative energy is palpable—and runs in the family. Ronnie’s son Joseph Douglas Elmhirst made his directorial debut in 2021 with his short film Mada, which completed an impressive run of international film festivals culminating with a screening at the National Gallery of Jamaica, while her daughter Ruby is producing a short film for the British Pavilion by the British Council at the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale.Looking out over the calm waters of the dock, it’s impressive that just one woman has carved out such a magnetic corner of this sleepy fishing port. Will Miss Ronnie ever be satisfied, and able to just sit back, relax, and enjoy this paradise of her own making? “Well, one constantly evolves, so at some stage I’m sure you’ll find that I’ve constructed a wigwam on the beach out of banana trash,’ she says. “But my children are still a huge part of my life and they’ve reached the stage where they are spending months on end here, so maybe they’ll end up creating something for themselves.”

For now, it seems, she’s found her balance. Writing and whisking, traveling and hosting, floating and veering towards that sublime in-between. “This natural environment supports those who find themselves here in unique and unexpected ways,” she says. “And that includes me.” Call me jaded, or cynical—or, as all jaded cynics prefer to be described, “a realist”—but when I was told that one of the The Bay Riot Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this activities during my six-day Tahiti yachting excursion was “the opportunity to swim with humpback whales,” I imagined this possibility as, first, a longshot (pending a miraculous convergence of weather, migratory patterns, and sheer luck) and, second, as a spectator sport. It conjured a vague image in my mind: me, barely submerged in the water, staring out through my snorkel mask at a distant, blob-like dark mass in the ocean maybe a hundred or two meters in front of me.
